Where We Specialize

At Meridian Counseling Associates, we welcome everyone and will work with you to reach your therapeutic goals. Here are some of the common areas we help our clients navigate.

Men often face unique pressures around work, relationships, family, identity, and what it means to be successful. Many have learned to handle problems on their own, keep difficult emotions to themselves, or focus on fixing a problem rather than talking about it. Therapy does not require you to change who you are or become someone who talks about feelings all day. Therapy can simply be a place to step back, take an honest look at what's happening, and figure out what you want to do next.

Anxiety and Depression

Therapy can help you understand what is happening and begin making meaningful changes. We can explore the thoughts, behaviors, relationships, and circumstances that may be contributing to anxiety or depression while developing strategies for managing difficult emotions and getting unstuck. My approach draws from evidence-based therapies such as ACT and CBT, while recognizing that lasting change often involves looking beyond the symptoms to understand the larger patterns in your life.

Relationships change, sometimes by choice and sometimes in ways we never expected. Even positive changes can bring uncertainty and require us to rethink who we are and how we relate to the people around us.. Relationship transitions often force us to confront questions we have been able to avoid" Who am I now? What do I want? What do I value? What does a meaningful relationship look like for me? Therapy offers a space to explore these questions without judgment and to move through change with greater awareness, intention, and confidence.

Work and Life Transitions

Transitions can challenge our sense of identity and leave us wondering who we are when the roles and routines we've relied on begin to change. You may feel stuck between where you've been and where you want to go, uncertain about a decision, or frustrated that an accomplishment you worked hard for hasn't brought the satisfaction you expected. Therapy can provide a place to step back, sort through the competing demands and emotions, and gain clarity about what matters most to you.

Therapy can provide a place to talk honestly about the loss and whatever comes with it. You may be struggling with sadness, loneliness, guilt, anger, regret or questions that don't have easy answers. You may also find yourself wondering how to move forward without feeling like you're leaving someone or something important behind. We can work together to understand your experience, make room for the emotions that come with loss, and find ways to reconnect with the parts of life that remain.

Meaning and Purpose

Therapy can provide a place for you to slow down and explore those questions without needing to have immediate answers. Together, we can look at what gives your life meaning, what you value, and whether the way you're living is consistent with those values. This process is not about finding a single purpose or following someone else's definition of a meaningful life. It's about developing a clearer understanding of who you are, what matters to you, and what you want your life to stand for. Therapy can help you move from simply going through the motions toward living a life with greater awareness, authenticity, and intention.
