Anxiety and Depression

Anxiety and depression can affect much more than your mood. Anxiety may leave you constantly worrying, overthinking, anticipating what could go wrong, or feeling like you can never fully relax. Depression can look like sadness, but it can also feel like irritability, exhaustion, disconnection, loss of motivation, or simply going through the motions without feeling much of anything. Sometimes, there is an obvious reason for these feelings; other times, you may not be able to explain why you don't feel like yourself.

Therapy can help you understand what is happening and begin making meaningful changes. We can explore the thoughts, behaviors, relationships, and circumstances that may be contributing to anxiety or depression while developing strategies for managing difficult emotions and getting unstuck. My approach draws from evidence-based therapies such as ACT and CBT, while recognizing that lasting change often involves looking beyond the symptoms to understand the larger patterns in your life.

From an existential perspective, anxiety and depression can sometimes raise deeper questions about identity, relationships, purpose, and the direction your life is taking. Therapy provides a space to slow down, gain perspective, and explore those questions without judgment. You don't need to have everything figured out before you begin. Whether you are struggling to keep up with everyday life or simply sense that something needs to change, therapy can be a place to start.
